Gesha is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your coffee collection is personal, and your data should stay that way.
What We Collect
Gesha collects anonymous, aggregate usage analytics via TelemetryDeck to understand how features are used. This data cannot identify you personally. No names, emails, or personal information are collected unless you voluntarily provide them through in-app feedback.
Your Coffee Data
All coffee bean data you enter is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud Sync (a Pro feature), your data is synced via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We never have access to your coffee collection data — it lives entirely within your iCloud account.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not store or have access to your payment information. RevenueCat processes anonymous transaction data to manage entitlements.
Photos
Photos you attach to beans are stored on-device and in your iCloud account (if sync is enabled). They are never uploaded to our servers.
Third-Party Services
- TelemetryDeck — privacy-first analytics (no personal data, no tracking)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (anonymous transaction IDs only)
- Apple CloudKit — iCloud sync (your Apple account, your data)
